Soaring over the Swiss Alps
by Nick on Aug.31, 2010, under Aviation, Aviation News, Video of the day
For those of you who are interested in finding out more about soaring or sailplanes, this is an excellent video that shows soaring over the Swiss and Austrian alps.
If you would like more information about soaring, Soaring Society of America has an excellent website, www.ssa.org, which gives a lot of good information about the sport of soaring and how to learn flying sailplanes.

I apologize if this topic has been discussed in this forum but I could not locate anything recent (saw some 2007 posts)when I searched for it. Does anyone have projected 787 deliveries by year as they stand now based upon 2010 certification? Thanks in advance.

To celebrate this event LH and Boeing will have a huge celebration in Hamburg among the guests will be LH CEO Wolfgang Mayrhuber as well as Boeing CEO James McNerney. It was rumored that Boeing will bring a 747-8 to this event but there seems to be problems and the 747-8 is not coming. LH will show two 747-400s at this event as well as 707 painted in LH´s old 1970s livery.

The DOT has given Delta approval to launch it’s twice weekly Detroit – Sao Paulo nonstops beginning in October. Tickets are for sale now…Let’s have a little fun at Delta’s expense…how many times do you think Delta will change the schedule (days, times, etc…) and will Delta drop the route before it even begins. If this route does see the light of day, how long until it’s pulled?
